Bovine Cartilage

According to the latest statistics, over 50 million Americans suffer from some form of arthritis, either rheumatoid or osteoathritis,as, as well as many other arthritic conditions. All forms of arthritis share common symptoms of moderate to serve pain and loss of range of motion.

Bovine cartilage has some promising news for suffers of this painful condition. It has been known to help rebuild collagen in certain individuals. Cartilage itself is a white semi-opaque connective tissue characterized by extreme smoothness, elasticity and toughness. It covers the end of the bones where they meet to become joints, circle discs of cartilage lie between each layer of bone in the spine, acting as cushions or shock absorbers.

Cartilage covers the moveable joints of the legs, arms and fingers giving smoothness and resiliency to their movement. Since 1954 when bovine cartilage was discovered to promote wound healing it has been proven effective in treating a wide range of clinical conditions including inflammatory conditions.

More than $7 million has been invested in research over a 40-year period. This research is far superior in scientific rigor to studies on all other cartilage.

Bovine cartilage selectively stimulates the body's immune system and normalizes aberrant cellsi Dr. John F. Prudden,M.D. ScD.

In December of 1985 John F. Prudden M.D., Med. Sc. D., a Harvard University School graduate, published a breakthrough report summarizing the results of his clinical trials with bovine cartilage in the Journal of Biological Response Modifiers.

Dr. Prudden wrote that of 31 patients cited in the report, 90 percent showed a partial or complete response and 35 percent showed a probable or possible cure. What made these results even more remarkable was that Dr. Prudden accepted into his trials only those whom standard therapy had failed or had generally been conceded to be of no value. In other words, these patients had been given up as hopeless by their doctors.
